In the past month, a lot of things have happened again in Ukraine. Several trucks with firewood and fresh food have been delivered to local churches in the provinces of Kherson, Mykolaiv, Dnipro and Zaporizhja. The churches, in turn, distribute this among the population. We're hearing more and more concerned voices from our partners about the coming winter. What if it becomes strict, what if the energy network is bombed down. This is a signal for us to collect and send more firewood. Because in the middle of winter, it can sometimes be too late.
We are also in close contact with the army pastors. Viktor sent us a number of photos of the last meeting they had in the church for the families of the fallen soldiers. As Metadidomi, we support these projects with financial help. So your donation also helps these families in this difficult period.
In addition, we were able to conclude a great campaign at Calvin College for this purpose. A group of young people visited for a week and a half and talked about their experiences during the war. Finally, a wonderful football tournament was held, including a nice sponsorship campaign. Many thanks to all those who participated in this!
In the run-up to Christmas, in collaboration with CSM Prince Maurits, we want to campaign for Christmas packages for these families. Especially in such a difficult time, we want to alleviate the pain and sadness a bit. No, we are not taking away the sadness with this, but if these people feel they are being thought of, by people from the far away Netherlands, that can already help so much.
